Taylor McBaine
That is the late Taylor McBaine, like a musical father to us. Cathy met
him just after she started playing the banjo, and then Dave met him a few
years later, probably in 1976. Taylor was one of the strongest players we
have ever known, and when we play instrumentals, especially hoedowns, much
of whatever fire is there comes from playing with Taylor. Cathy wrote a
script for a video documentary of Taylor back in the early 1980s, for the
University of Missouri.
