Although a popular humorous folksong, it seems particularly popular as a fiddle tune around Stone County, Ark. THE DEVIL AND HIS WIFE is a tune collected by the late Jim Olin from "Uncle Bunk" Williams of Ellington, Mo. We learned it from the Little Dixie Hoss Hair Pullers of Columbia, Mo.
